1. Learner Data Protection
- Final Pixel Academy is committed to ensuring the security and protection of all learner personal data. We process information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation to provide high-quality educational services and resources. Learner records are maintained securely and accessed only by authorised personnel for the purposes of course administration and certification.
- Data shared through our online platforms and workshops is stored with industry-standard encryption. We do not share personal data with third parties without explicit consent, except where necessary for the delivery of the course or as required by legal obligations. Learners have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of their personal information at any time.
- We continuously review our data protection practices to ensure they align with global standards and evolving technologies in virtual production. Our Privacy Policy provides detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your information across all aspects of the Final Pixel Academy experience.
2. Course Materials Are Proprietary
- All resources provided during Final Pixel Academy courses—including but not limited to recordings, documentation, custom project files, and proprietary workflows—are the intellectual property of Final Pixel. These materials are provided exclusively for the educational benefit of the enrolled learner and may not be reproduced or redistributed without prior written permission.
- Learners are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use the course materials for personal professional development. This license strictly prohibits commercial resale, public display, or use of proprietary techniques in a manner that infringes upon our studio's intellectual property rights or trade secrets developed through our live production work.
- Violation of these proprietary rights may result in the immediate termination of academy membership and access to resources, alongside potential legal action. We take the protection of our practitioners' unique methodologies seriously to ensure the continued value and integrity of the Final Pixel Academy qualification.
3. Course Content and Professional Judgment
- Course content is designed by industry practitioners based on current best practices in virtual production and real-time technology. While we provide expert guidance, learners are expected to exercise their own professional judgment when applying these techniques in their own production environments and individual projects.
- The technologies we teach are evolving at a rapid pace. While every effort is made to ensure content is current, Final Pixel Academy does not guarantee that workflows will remain unchanged as third-party software—such as Unreal Engine—receives updates. Professional adaptation is a key skill taught within our curriculum.
- We provide a framework for success, but the ultimate application and outcome of the skills learned are the responsibility of the professional learner. Our instructors offer advice based on their extensive experience on set, intended to supplement, not replace, standard industry safety and operational protocols.
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
The Academy reserves the right to monitor the use of course materials and platform interactions to ensure compliance with our security and intellectual property protocols. Any unauthorized sharing of login credentials, screen recording of exclusive webinars, or unlicensed distribution of course assets will be met with immediate disciplinary action. We utilize digital watermarking and access logs to maintain the integrity of our educational resources.
5. Partnership Agreements
Certain courses are delivered in collaboration with industry partners, software vendors, or technology studios. In these instances, the intellectual property rights and data protection standards of the respective partner also apply. Learners are required to adhere to any additional End User License Agreements (EULA) provided at the commencement of these specific modules, ensuring that proprietary workflows and pilot software features remain confidential.
6. Learner Responsibility
It is the individual learner’s responsibility to keep their access credentials secure and to use Academy resources exclusively for personal professional development. Learners should refrain from uploading or sharing course materials on public forums or personal cloud storage. Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in the termination of course access and membership without refund, alongside potential legal proceedings where copyright infringement is identified.
